Nebico Limited: Pioneering Biscuit Manufacturer of Nepal

Nebico Limited (नेबिको लिमिटेड) stands as the inaugural biscuit manufacturing enterprise in Nepal, originally incorporated as National Biscuit and Confectionery Private Limited in Kathmandu. Founded in 1964 with the mandate to produce superior-quality biscuits and confectionery products, the company commenced operations in 1967, boasting an initial installed capacity of 6 metric tons (MT) per day. Its state-of-the-art facility occupies 73,000 square feet within the Balaju Industrial Area, Balaju, Kathmandu.

In 1968, the entity was restructured and renamed Nebico Pvt. Ltd., concomitant with a capacity enhancement to 15 MT per day. This period marked a strategic technical and production collaboration with Britannia Industries Limited of India. Presently, Nebico Limited operates across two shifts, achieving an annual production capacity of approximately 10,000 MT.

The company maintains ISO 9001:2008 certification, succeeding its prior accreditations in ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996, and has formally subscribed to the United Nations Global Compact. Nebico's product portfolio encompasses an array of hard-dough and soft-dough biscuits, including Glucose, Thin Arrowroot, Coconut Crunches, Khaja, One to One, Digestive, Nice, and assorted cream-filled variants. These internationally recognized certifications, coupled with decades of unwavering commitment to excellence, have engendered profound consumer confidence and elevated brand prestige.
